For over 50 years, Fisher Space Pen has been proud to have our technology approved and used on every crewed flight into space since 1967 with NASA. Today, space exploration is achieving unimaginable accomplishments, while NASA is continuing to push the envelope of what is possible, in space. Finally, our fans have the chance to collect their first Matte Black Cap-O-Matic Space Pen donning the NASA Meatball logo!
In the "meatball" design, the sphere represents a planet, the stars represent space, the red chevron is a wing representing aeronautics (the latest design in hypersonic wings at the time the logo was developed), and then there is an orbiting spacecraft going around the wing.
The Cap-O-Matic line utilizes cap activation to extend and retract the point, and each carries a gas pressurized PR style ink refill cartridge, which means that they feature all the unique capabilities that are synonymous with Fisher products: they will write upside down - at any angle, under water, through grease, extreme temperatures (-30 to +250 degrees F), on almost any surface, three times longer than the average pen, and of course in the gravity free vacuum of space, and all of our pens are lifetime guaranteed for quality against all manufacturing defects - American Technology
